When a user submits their purchase request form, we will also check that certain fields have been answered before allowing the data to be submitted.
Note: can also be managed in the view by checking Mandatory Answer on the object properties. However, be aware that mandatory checks made in this way are not performed until the form is submitted.

| 1. | Open the form in the by choosing the Forms Dashboard then locating the form in the Edit Forms tree view. |
| 2. | Click Design on the form detail area. |
| 3. | On the Form Layout area, select the Submit button object. |
| 4. | On the under Behaviors, click Button Is Pressed. The Behavior view for the selected is opened. In the , you can see the objects that can be used to build the behavior sequence for this event. The sequence could consist of a single or a combination of behavior commands with some conditional logic. |

| 5. | Drag and drop a Check Mandatory object onto the canvas. |
| 6. | Drag and drop a Submit Data object onto the canvas under the previous object. |
| 7. | Join the two objects with an arrow from Check Mandatory to Submit Data using the yellow join points around the edge of each object. |
| 8. | Select the Check Mandatory object. In Check Mandatory Properties, click Add. |
| 9. | Browse to Details then locate and select the four objects relating to Applicant and Manager name and e-mail. |
Note: Multiple selections can be made by pressing the Shift or Ctrl keys while clicking your mouse.
