We now need to define the workflow rules on the paths.
The condition specifies under which circumstances a form instance’s workflow will progress along that path to the next stage. These conditions are a key part of the workflow rules and there are three main options for applying these conditions:
| • | Always, if no other condition is met |
| • | Simple |
| • | Advanced |
|
We know that the purchase order request form will always progress from the New Application stage to the Manager Approval stage so this is the condition to set on the path between these stages.
For an instance to progress from the Manager Approval stage to Rejected stage, the workflow will need to determine if the Manager Rejected radio button has been selected. A simple condition can be used here.

Now you can see that giving your pages, groups and objects sensible names in the form layout process makes them much easier to locate when you are building workflow rules and behaviors.
