Define the Workflow Stages

Logical stages of the workflow:

 

New Application
Manager Approval
Director Approval
Approved
Rejected

 

We need to take this information and transfer it onto the workflow diagram and properties.

1.From the Toolbox, drag five Stage objects onto the canvas.
2.Select each stage and name it in the Stage Properties according to the logical stages we just listed.
3.Make sure that the New Application stage has the Is Default Stage property turned on.
4.For the Approved and Rejected stages, select the Is Closed Stage check box for each. The stage color will change to show that the stage is now a closed stage.

Note: In Workflow Properties, you will see a warning that there is no logical flow. This is because the stages are not linked together yet.
