To enable single sign-on capabilities, the Single Sign-On Gateway (SSO Gateway) must be installed into a Web site on your system that is tied to your domain using IIS Windows integrated authentication. Single Sign-On can be used in conjunction with both On-Premise and On-Demand versions of PerfectForms™.
Once you have obtained the .zip file containing the gateway (available at http://www.perfectforms.com/download/PerfectFormsSSOGateway.zip) and, if necessary, created the Web site with IIS authentication, the installation wizard will guide you through installation.
Note: The Single Sign-On module only works in a Windows environment.

|
| 1. | Double-click the .ZIP file and the installer wizard is launched. |

| 2. | On the License Agreement screen, choose to accept the terms and click Next. |

| 3. | You may specify another destination folder. Click Next. |

| 4. | Select the IIS Web site through which the SSO gateway can gain access. |
| 5. | Add a Virtual Folder on that Web site that the SSO gateway will use and enter the name here. |
| 6. | Enter the Web site URL. |
| 7. | You may optionally run authentication through a secure socket layer. You should only use this option if your gateway page has an SSL certificate installed. Check the Use HTTPS box if you require a secure connection. |

| 9. | Enter a PerfectForms™ account name to link to the gateway. To find the Account Name, access the Settings Dashboard, select Account Settings from the tree view and then select Settings. The Account Name is displayed in the details area. Be sure to remove any trailing spaces; the account name must be identical. |
| 10. | Enter the URL of your PerfectForms™ application. |
| 11. | Enter a Password if applicable. |

| 13. | Select a program folder for SSO shortcuts. Also choose the installation policy for the gateway. Click Next. |

| 14. | You are now ready to complete the installation. Click Next to begin the configuration of PerfectForms™ Single Sign-on Gateway. |

| 15. | On the Installation screen, the Installer prepares your system for the installation. When this process is complete, you will automatically be progressed to the Installation Complete screen. |

| 16. | On the Installation Complete screen, you are given instructions on how to proceed to the Account Settings page in the PerfectForms™ application and further configure the account for Single Sign-on. You can then choose to run the Single Sign-on Gateway immediately or not by selecting the Run PerfectForms Single Sign-on Gateway Now check box. Finally, you may click Finish to close the Installation Wizard. |

|
For users who have not updated to PerfectForms™ version 1.14 the following installation steps are pertinent:

|
| 1. | The SSO Gateway .ZIP file is available through your PerfectForms™ sales agent. Copy the contents of the .ZIP file to a directory of your choosing. |
| 2. | Open the file web.config and update the following sections: |
| • | <add key="appUrl" value=" "/> - where 'value' is the normal URL of PerfectForms™. For example: http://pf.mydomain.com/perfectforms |
| • | <add key="accountName" value="My Account Name" /> - set your account name on the PerfectForms™ Settings dashboard. Open the Account Settings node and click Settings. The Account Name is displayed in the details area. Be sure not to have any trailing spaces; the account name must be identical. |
| • | <add key="secure" value="false" /> - set it to true if you want to use secure connections. You should only set this to <true> if your gateway page has an SSL certificate installed. |
| 3. | Create a new Virtual Directory in IIS that points to the directory where you unzipped the files earlier. |

| 4. | Once the virtual directory is created, go to its properties. Create the application by going to the Virtual Directory tab, then click the Create button within the Application Settings section. |
| 5. | Set execute permissions to Scripts only. |

| 6. | Go to the Documents tab and set the Default Document to be main.html. |

| 7. | Go to the ASP.NET tab and make sure the selected .NET version is 2.0 or more. |

| 8. | Go to the Directory Security tab and edit the authentication and access control. Ensure that Anonymous access is disabled and Integrated Windows Authentication is set. |
