Adding Check Boxes

Check Boxes should be used to make either an individual choice (single check box) or multiple choices (group of check boxes). They should be used to toggle an option on or off or to select or deselect an item.

Note: For a complete list of Check box Properties and their uses, see the Check Box Properties reference topic. For a demonstration of radio buttons and check box usage, go to the Radio Buttons and Check Boxes Example topic (available only in the online help version of this guide).

1.In Layout view, drag and drop several check boxes onto the layout canvas. As a usability guideline, use check boxes in groups of ten or fewer and arrange them vertically for optimal readability.
2.Drag the Group object from Common Visuals section of the Toolbox and drop it around the entire group of check boxes. Or, select all the check boxes by clicking and dragging around the objects on the page to link as a group. The Group Properties are displayed on the Properties bar.
3.Under the Main section of the Group Properties, select the Has Header check box to add a header.
4.While still in the Main section and Header section, enter a name in the Caption field.
5.To modify style, navigation or behavior settings, select the check box group on the canvas and edit Group Properties on the Properties bar.
