PerfectForms™ runs in any browser that supports Flash Player 9 or later. This means the following major browsers are supported as well as other smaller ones.
| • | Internet Explorer |
| • | Firefox |
| • | Safari |
| • | Opera |
The following platforms are supported although some platforms may only support specific browsers (for example, Internet Explorer will not run on Linux machines).
| • | Windows 98/ME/2000/NT/XP/Vista/7 |
| • | Mac OS X (and earlier) |
| • | Linux (Firefox/Mozilla) |
| • | Solaris (Firefox/Mozilla) |
Note: PerfectForms™ will not currently run on the Microsoft Pocket PC.
PerfectForms™ can run in Designer mode or Player mode. Designer mode is running whenever a user is building or editing a form or report (not when submitting an instance for example). Designer mode requires more memory as it is a full-fledged designer application that contains extensive functionality and requires management of large amounts of data in forms. PerfectForms™ recommends having at least 512MB of free memory available and more than that for larger forms.
The Player runs when a form is being completed rather than designed. This requires less memory but is dependent on the size of the form. For typical forms, PerfectForms™ recommends having at least 60MB of free memory. Exceptionally large forms may require 200MB or more of free memory, although forms of this size are rare.
As PerfectForms™ is browser-based, it does not require local storage.
