The administrator setting up the connections can assign permissions in order to limit who can access them. This means that you can set up sensitive connections, such as database lookups, that cannot be used by certain form designers.
The available permission settings are as follows:
| • | Use - You can grant form designers permission to use the connection within their form from a Connect command or a Connect and Search command. In order to use a connection and action inside a form, the Use permission must be granted to the owner of the form on both the connection and action. |
| • | Edit - Allows the named users to browse and edit the connection details and actions. |
| • | Full Control - Allows the named users to make full changes except for the ability to delete the connection. Only the connection owner can delete the connection. |
Note: The viewer of the form is not required to have explicit permission over the connection. Anyone who has permission to view the form can automatically use the connection capability embedded inside the form. Two levels of permissions apply when using connections in forms:
| • | The viewer must have View permission of form (either explicit, or thru World permission) |
| • | The form owner must have Use permission of the connection |
