Publishing and Deploying Your Form

Note: To test a form before publishing it, you may want to fill out and submit the form yourself using draft mode. For more information on creating test or draft instances, see the Testing Your Form Using Draft Instances topic.

 

Complete the following steps to publish a form.

1.Load a form in the Form Designer. Make changes to the form.
2.On the menu bar, click Form > Save.
3.On the menu bar, click Form > Close. PerfectForms™ loads the Forms Dashboard and shows that the version is 0.1 if the form is new.
4.Click Publish in the details area of the Dashboard.

 

What Publishing Does Behind the Scenes

 

When you publish a form, all data is stored as form instance data and will be displayed within reporting and other areas of the system. Once a form is published, any references and links that point to the form will always use the latest form version. Any form instances that were already in existence and were created from earlier form versions can be managed from that older form version.
