When data is stored in a table object and a user needs to see that data, the usual process would be to give them the necessary access to open the instance and view the table.
With the introduction of support for mobile devices in version 2.0 of PerfectForms (see Mobile Approval Forms for more detail), this option will not always be suitable. Mobile device users may be shown a smaller version of the form with the option to make a decision and add comments. They will not be able to view the form instance to see all the data. The important data will need to be displayed in the notification.
In order to show data from a table it is first necessary to extract that data into a single object on the form, and then display that object’s data in the notification. This form demonstrates a method for extracting the data from a table object into a multi-line text object.
