For Dashboard or WorkPage deployments, this web part provides a visual indication from within SharePoint 2007 that there are notifications awaiting the attention of the user and the highest level of attention is required. For either type of deployment, keeping users aware of any items needing action is important.

The Notification icon can be placed independently on any SharePoint page so that timely intervention can take place. In addition to the icon, a message is displayed advising the user of the number of instances that require attention. The background color of the icon changes color based upon the level of urgency.
