Note: To view the report properties, either click the navigation arrows in the Properties bar or click on the report background (area surrounding the page in the Layout area).

Main Section

The Main section contains the title of the report and more.

Name

Name

Displays the report file name.

 

 

Version

 

Displays the version number of the report in which you are working. If the whole digit is zero, you are working in an unpublished report.

 

Working with Versions

Title

 

Shows in the title bar of the browser when a report user is accessing the report.

 

 

Size

Size Drop-Down

Choose from several standard screen and print sizes for reports or enter custom dimensions.

Enter custom dimensions in units as selected in the Units drop-down.

DPI

It is recommended that you do not edit this property. 72 DPI is the default resolution for screen reports.

Data-Sources

Name

Shows the name of the data-source when it was created.

 

Uses

Shows the number of objects in the report using this data-source.

 

New button

Click the New button to select a new form data-source.

 

Setting a report data source is a requirement for any report. A single report can use one or more data sources. The data-source is a form within your account.

 

Edit button

Select a previously added data-source from the list and click Edit to launch the Data-Source dialog. Here you can change the fields that can be reported on or change the filters applied to the data-source for reporting purposes.

 

Duplicate button

Select a previously added data-source from the list and click Duplicate to copy the selected data-source as a new row in the Data-Sources table.

 

Remove button

Select a previously added data-source from the list and click Remove to remove the selected data-source from the Data-Sources table.

 

 

 

Style Section

The Style section contains properties that control the font appearance of the button label and more.

Screen

Center: Vertically

Turns off or on the automatic vertical centering of the report in the browser window.

 

 

Center: Horizontally

Turns off or on the automatic horizontal centering of the report in the browser window.

 

 

Color

Enter a Hex color code or click on the color box to select a color for the report background area (around the margins of the report in the browser window).

 

 

Drop-shadow

Turns on or off the drop-shadow effect at the edges of the report.

 

 

Frame

Show a Frame

Turns off or on the default frame that adds additional white space to the report margins.

 

 

Width

This option lets you set the width of the frame. The report width defaults to 16 pixels. The option is only available if the Show a Frame check box has been selected.

 

 

Color

This option lets you enter a Hex color code or click on the color box to select the color for the frame. The option is only available if the Show a Frame check box has been selected.

 

 

Round Corners

This option lets you turn off or on the rounded corner effect that is the default setting for report frames. The option is only available if the Show a Frame check box has been selected.

 

 

Grid

Width

Enter the width (in pixels) of the layout grid which can be turned on from the View menu.

 

 

Height

Enter the width (in pixels) of the layout grid which can be turned on from the View menu.

 

 

Page Turning

Effect

Select the page turning effect that will be seen by the  report user when moving from one report page to the next. Options include: None (no page turning effect) or Book (a turning effect similar to turning the pages of a book).

 

 

Auto-scroll to Top of Page

This option turns off or on automatic scrolling to the top of the report page when a report user is accessing a report that is longer than the browser window.

 

 

 

 

Theme Section

The Theme section contains properties that control the default styles of object types. (All objects as you drag and drop them on the canvas have default styling which you can override at the individual object level in its Style section of the Properties bar. This is where you control those preferences.)

Color

Enter a Hex color code or click on the color box to pick a background color for new pages.

Picture

Select a picture asset from the list to show as the background image on the report pages. In order for a picture file to show in the list, you must have already uploaded it in the Assets section of the Browser bar.

Text

Select the font color, font, font size and font face for text objects. Additional style properties are available on the individual text objects once they have been added to the layout.

Corner Radius

Select a numeric value to represent the curvature of the button corners. The higher the number, the more curved the edges of the button will be.

Text (Over)

Note: This setting is also applied to any radio button objects on the report. For radio buttons it controls the color of the radio button circle.

Header Text

Transparent

If you have a group of objects that overlap each other, select the front-positioned group object and turn on the Transparent check box so the covered object can show through.

Header Text

This option lets you set the color(s) for the alternating rows in the table.

 

There are two color pickers available for this. The first controls the color for first row in the table and every other row from there. The second color picker controls the color for the second row in the table and every other row from there. For either color picker, you may enter a Hex color code or click on the color box to select the desired color.

Advanced Section

The Advanced section contains properties that control text orientation.

Right to Left (RTL)

Allows you to design reports in Hebrew, Arabic or other right-to-left scripts by orienting the text of an object to read from the right side to the left. Once this property is turned on:

 

The property bars for the following objects will show a new RTL check box option: Small Text, Medium Text, Large Text, Small Heading, Medium Heading and Large Heading.
Newly created text objects are right-oriented by default. Any objects that were already on the report will not change to right-to-left orientation automatically. You must open their properties and manually click the RTL property for those existing objects.

 

 

 

 

 

Behavior Section

The Behavior section lists possible events on the report that can prompt a behavior to run.

Report is Opened

Occurs when a report instance is opened. If you want this event to trigger one or more behavior commands, click on it and the Behaviors view will be loaded.

Report is Refreshed

Occurs when a report's data is refreshed either manually by the user or automatically.

 

How Behaviors Are Triggered

Report is Closed

Occurs when a report user exits the report. If you want this event to trigger one or more behavior commands, click on it and the Behaviors view will be loaded.

Report Receives External Call

Occurs if the report is running a Get External Callback Parameter function. The External Callback feature can be used to pass data from the Web site to an embedded form from that Web site.
