Sending Basic Authentication and Header Parameters

Along with Web method parameters, header parameters can also be configured into a PerfectForms™ WebService connection and sent in a request. Below are two examples of this behavior.

Example: WebService Connection and Basic Authentication (Username/Password Required by IIS Web Server)

 

There are two important steps to follow in order to configure and send basic authentication information using a WebService connection:

1.On the Connections Dashboard in the detail area for the connection, enter the Service URL and select the Use Proxy check box.
2.Enter authentication information into the Service WSDL and Basic Authentication fields for the connection.

Example: WebService Connection with Header Parameters

 

There are two important steps to follow in order to configure and send header parameters using a WebService connection:

1.On the Connections Dashboard in the detail area for the connection, enter the Service URL and select the Use Proxy check box.

2.Access the details area for the action associated with the connection.
3.On the action, add header parameters as normal "Send parameters" but enter a "*" character in front of each header parameter name.
