Adding a Print Button

When the Print button is clicked, the user is presented with a printing dialog. There is no default printing capability in PerfectForms™ so, if you want to allow users to print all or some of the form instance, you must add a Print button. See the Print Button Properties reference table for a complete list of this button's properties and their uses.

Note: A Print behavior command is also available. You may assign the Print behavior to some event on the form or object on the form. See Print Properties reference table for more information.

To add a Print button:

Document Icon

1.With a form loaded in the Form Designer, expand the Common Visuals section of the Toolbox.
2.Drag and drop a Print button object onto the form.
3.By default, all pages of the form instance will be printed. You may change this setting on the Properties bar.  Choose from:
All - Prints all pages of the form instance. Note that even if the All Pages property has been selected, hidden pages or form objects will not be printed.
Current - Prints the active page in the form instance.
Specific - Specify which pages will print.

Note: If the print area contains multi-line text objects, they will be printed in the appendix. Additionally, if the HTML property has been used to format text objects, the tags will print along with the objects.
