Note: The properties displayed in the Main section of the Connector Properties bar are dependent upon the type of branch command the connector is exiting. If the connector is exiting a Simple Branch command, then the only configurable property in the Main section is the 'Caption' property. If the connector is exiting a Multiple Branch command, then additional properties will be available for configuration in the Main section.


 

Main Section (Simple Branch Command)

The Main section contains the caption property for a connector object exiting a simple branch command.

Caption

Enter the the text that will be shown on the connector object in the Behaviors canvas.

 

 

 

 

Main Section (Multiple Branch Command)

The Main section contains conditions for a path exiting a multiple branch command and more.

Condition

Always, if No Other Condition is Met

Select this radio button to ensure the selected join line behavior always executes at form run-time.

 


Simple

Select this radio button to set a simple condition based on a form field that must be satisfied for the behavior to continue to the next branch.

 

Simple Branch or Multiple Branch

Simple Radio Button - Field Selection

Click Select to choose the form field or object for the condition. Once a selection has been made, the value will be shown in the read-only text box to the left of the Select button.

 

 

Simple Radio Button - Operation Selection

Select the operation from the drop-down list that will run against the field. Options include:

 

is equal to
is not equal to
is less than
is greater than
is less than or equal
is greater than or equal
is empty
is not empty
is checked
is not checked

 

Simple Radio Button - Value Entry

Enter the alphanumeric value you want to compare against.

 


Note: If the selected operation is 'is checked' or 'is not checked', this field will be disabled.


 

Advanced

Select this radio button to compose your own conditional formula that must be satisfied for the path to continue.

 

Click the Edit button to open the Formula and Conditions Editor.

 

 

Caption

Auto-Summary

Auto-summary refers to the text that will be shown on the connector object in the Behaviors canvas. By default, this check box is selected.

 

For commands that use a condition or calculation, Auto-Summary will display the formula selected in the Condition Properties. If no condition exists, nothing will be displayed.

 

If you wish to have other summary text display, clear the Auto-summary check box and type the custom text in the list box below. Your text will be retained if you later decide to enable Auto-summary.

This is where manual summary text can be entered when the Auto-summary option is not turned on.

 

 

 

 

Style Section

The Style section contains properties that control the appearance of the connector line.

Line

Select the type of line to be used for the connector object. Options include Straight or Curved. Selecting the Curve option will add vector handles to the line, allowing you to bend the path line.

 

 

Caption Box Width

Enter the width (in pixels) for the box containing the caption text. This box is displayed on the connector object in the Behaviors canvas.
