Laying Out a Form

Previous  Home topic  Next  Print this topic Send Feedback

When laying out a form, there are three basic interactive elements:

Form - A form can be a single page or multiple pages used to gather information.
Page - A page is the collection of objects that a user interacts with to input data, trigger actions or make selections.
Object - An object is the single mechanism or interface to support user interaction. Examples include text input, command button, radio button, check box, list box, slider, etc.

When opening a form, the Form Designer loads the form in Layout view by default. To switch to Layout view from another view (Behavior or Workflow), click the L at the top of the canvas.

Note: To see a complete breakdown of all Layout view objects and associated properties available in the Form Designer, see the Layout Toolbox Reference topics.
