Main Section

The Main section contains the name and other options for the object.

Name

Name

Enter a name for the object. This is the name of the object as it will show in field chooser, the Browser bar and other object lists.

 

 

Timer

Start

Enter the point when the timer starts (based on the interval settings).

 

 

End

Enter the point when the timer ends (based on the interval settings).

 

 

Interval

Enter the numeric value that represents an interval step.

 

 

[Interval Units]

 

Interval Units

Enter the time unit that comprises the interval. Options include Seconds or Minutes.

 

Direction

Choose whether the timer counts up or counts down.

 

 

Loop

Select this check box to set the timer to continuously loop.

 

 

Auto-Start

None

Select this radio button if you do not want the timer to automatically start.

 

 

Start

Select this radio button to have the timer start automatically.

 

 

Continue

Select this radio button to have the timer restart automatically and run continuously.

 

 

 

 

Behavior Section

The Behavior section lists possible events on the object that can prompt a behavior to run.

Timer Changes Field Data

This event occurs when timer data is collected.

Timer Starts

This event occurs when the timer begins.

Timer Ends

This event occurs when the timer reaches the end of its range.

Timer Makes Interval Step

 

This event occurs when an interval completes.

Timer is Created

This event occurs when a timer is created (usually as the result of a behavior).
