Helper Fields as Variables

Previous  Home topic  Next  Print this topic Send Feedback

If you have complex expressions or formulas, you may want to calculate a value and then store the result in a field on the form. If the form field has no other purpose other than storing a value in this way, then it is called a 'helper' field.

There are a couple of ways you can use helper fields:

Put them on a special page on the form that only contains helper fields and is never seen by form users.
Use them on a regular page but hide it using a Set State behavior command or by changing its State property to Hidden.
