How Behaviors Are Triggered

Previous  Home topic  Next  Print this topic Send Feedback

Behaviors are always triggered by events in the form. These include:

Form events - Form opens, closes or data is submitted.
Page events - Page opens, closes or is clicked.
Object events - Options vary depending on object type.

You can specify a behavior to run whenever one of these events occurs.

Note: The maximum number of commands that are executed in a sequence of a single behavior is 250,000.

The available behavior events are listed in the Behaviors section of the Properties bar in Layout view. For a list of objects and their associated behavior events, go to the Layout Objects Properties Bars Reference.

Note: In addition to form layout events, behaviors can be triggered by workflow paths (as in the case of notifications).
