Installation on Tomcat 6 Web Server

Installation on WebSphere Application Server (Windows/Linux)

The PerfectForms™ connection agent installation package contains the PerfectForms™ connection agent application and additional required libraries. These additional libraries are open source JAR libraries that contain drivers for PerfectForms™ connection agent connectivity with different types of database servers and other utilities libraries.

mysql-connector-java-5.1.6-bin.jar

JDBC driver for connecting to MySQL database servers

jdbcLdap.jar

JDBC driver for connecting to LDAP servers

ojdbc14.jar

JDBC driver for connecting to Oracle database servers

jtds-1.2.jar

JDBC driver for connecting to SQL Server and Sybase database servers

dom4j-1.6.1.jar

Utility library

jaxen-1.1-beta-6.jar

Utility library

ldap.jar

Note: If you already have some of these libraries installed on your Web server, verify that they are the correct versions for the connection agent to work correctly.

1.Copy the PerfectFormsAgent Web project archive (PerfectFormsAgent.war) into Tomcat’s Web applications folder (tomcat_install_dir/webapps/).
2.Copy crossdomain.xml file into Tomcat’s ROOT application folder (tomcat_install_dir/webapps/ROOT/).
3.Start Tomcat Server or restart if it’s already running.
4.Check if PerfectFormsAgent has started by opening a new browser window and going to link: http://tomcat_url:port/PerfectFormsAgent.

Note: For the link noted in Step 4, the archive name comes after the "/". For example, http://tomcat_url:port/PerfectFormsAgent becomes http://localhost:8080/ConnectionAgent11807/ if the name of the archive is ConnectionAgent11807.war.

Installation on WebSphere Application Server (Windows/Linux)

Preinstall Requirements: WebSphere Application Server 7 and JDK 6

In order for the connection agent to accept requests from the PerfectForms application, the WebSphere application server needs to have a crossdomain.xml policy file installed in the root directory of the Web server according to the procedure described below. If there is already an application running at the root directory level, this application must be uninstalled before deploying the crossdomain.war file.
