When a parent form creates a child form, the parent instance ID is passed to the child and is stored there as a property. The following section explains how to find the instance ID and determine what relationship it is creating.

Both the instance ID and the parent instance ID can be accessed in the Form Designer. Select an object that will display the instance ID and on the Properties bar, make a selection from the Special value list.
