Not only can you run PerfectForms™ from within SharePoint site pages, you can also configure the system so that you can access and manipulate SharePoint Lists and Libraries.
Documents can be retrieved and posted back to libraries after review or modification with all the standard security and version control that SharePoint natively provides. Data lists can be used as a source of information for forms page objects - either for a single value, record, or complete lists.
The SharePoint API can be accessed in the context of a pre-defined user, allowing all API operations that the user is permitted to do, including, but not limited to:
| • | Querying a SharePoint list or document library metadata using XPath queries (see the Accessing Lists from PerfectForms™ white paper for additional detail). |
| • | Adding entries to a SharePoint list* |
| • | Updating an entry in a SharePoint list* |
| • | Creating SharePoint lists and views* |
| • | Controlling access to SharePoint sites, lists and views* |
Note: *Requires specialist SharePoint API development knowledge
The majority of site collection operations and Central Admin operations are actually performed through the API and can be duplicated in PerfectForms™.
