Reading and Writing Data Between Form Instances

Previous  Home topic  Next  Print this topic Send Feedback

Reading or writing data to and from other form instances is accomplished using the behavior commands noted below, found in the Integration section of the Behavior Toolbox. These commands let you get or set data from a specific field in another instance by referencing the other form instance ID. This instance ID can be taken from a form field.

Get Field from Other Instance (see Get Field from Other Instance Properties)
Set Field in Other Instance (see Set Field in Other Instance Properties)

If you are using the Show Form button and its Instance property is set to Single Child, then you can reference this button object and PerfectForms™ will return the form instance associated with that button.
