The most common text calculation is to concatenate two text fields together. Sample calculations are provided below.

Here we are merging the value of two fields together. Both fields are fields on the form so choose the Field option, click Select, then locate the field from the Select a Field dialog.

The '[' are literal characters entered in the Text or number field. The Name field is selected from the Field option.

 

 

Example: Adding a New Line Character

 

You may want to add text to a multiline text field and at the same time insert a new line. This can be done using the New Line entry under the Special value option.
