Typical Two-Server System

A basic two-server system puts the PerfectForms™ application on one server and the database on a separate server. There are two common reasons for this configuration:

Load is such that it is best divided between more than one server.
An Internet-facing (public) system needs the PerfectForms™ system to run on one or more Web servers in the DMZ but, for security reasons, the database server needs to sit separately behind the firewall.

The two-server system offers better security options in addition to improved performance. A typical setup for a new PerfectForms™ system is:

Web server - Xeon Dual Core with 2GB RAM
Database server - Xeon Dual Core with 4GB RAM
