Web applications made easy with PerfectForms
Yes, we can show you how PerfectForms simplifies the development of even the most complex applications. Since 2001, we've been working on application development platforms and today we've made it just about as fast and easy as it can be. We started out in this business under the name of Quask with a product called FormArtist. In the beginning it was all about building the form (or the user interface) and collecting data. Since then we have evolved that product; we learned a lot from people that were looking for application solutions, from our customers, and from the thousands of applications we've either developed or assisted in developing. All of this experience helped us to conceptualize and ultimately create PerfectForms. Now it's all about flexibility in creating the user interface, speed to market, the ability to define complex workflows, seemless integration with legacy systems and detailed reporting with extensive drill down capabilities. We invite you to put us to the test, sign up for a trial and see the results our years of experience can yield for your business. If you've never developed an application or just want to read about what the many years of experience has taught us then please read on. Otherwise, Sign-up for a free 30-day trial now and get started.

PerfectForms really is easy to use and with the right approach you can complete a pretty complex application in days, start to finish, versus weeks or months using traditional methods. So what is the right approach? How can you build an application quickly and as easily as possible? It may seem a bit obvious but you have to start with a clear understanding of the problem you are trying to solve. Too many times, we've seen people jump right in and get started only to get stuck and have to contact us. They start the conversation with things like, "I can't get that to work" or "How do I do this". We always try to start our response to a problem solving conversation with questions about the whole process. A clear understanding of the process helps to determine the correct architecture, or how the application should be constructed. Once this is done it's much easier to approach the design and pinpoint where things might have gotten confused along the way. The first thing we recommend you do before using PerfectForms to build your solution is to clearly understand the workflow and decide exactly what data you want to collect, determine who should be involved in the process and what should happen at each step along the way.
Getting Started with PerfectForms We suggest you begin by reviewing our 10-step Quickstart Guide. The guide will cover the basics so you can successfully build your first application. For more advanced topics, you will want to check out our training videos and help guides for reference. You can start by creating your own application from scratch or by editing a sample. The sample applications in our design gallery can be easily modified to meet your requirements. You can interact with the sample applications to get some ideas on how you would like to build your own application. If you decide you want to customize any of the applications, just follow these steps:
* Login to PerfectForms * Go to the Home Page and select Edit Forms * Expand the Library folder to view the forms and applications After logging in, you have two choices: Create a New Form or Edit a Sample Form.
If you select 'Create a New Form', a blank canvas will be presented in the Form Designer.
If you select 'Edit a Sample Form', a sample form will be presented in the Form Designer that you can customize. Note: If you would like to edit a different sample, they can be accessed from the Library folder.
The Form Designer is where you will be designing and developing the user interface for your application. The Form Designer includes three views: Layout, Behaviors, and Workflow (L, B, W icons). The Layout view is divided into three distinct sections: Toolbox/Browser Bar (left), Canvas (center), and Properties Bar (right). . To design your application, in the Layout view, you drag objects from the Toolbox on the left to the Canvas in the center. As you drag objects onto the Canvas, the properties (e.g. font, color, etc.) associated with that object will be presented in the Properties Bar on the right.
You can learn about adding workflow and behaviors (events that are triggered by user or system actions, e.g. skipping questions based on a prior selection) to your application in the Help Guide or Training Videos.
Integrating your application with existing systems There are a number of different integration options available with PerfectForms. We typically see customers using PerfectForms with Directory Services (LDAP) and databases (Oracle, SQL server, MYSQL, Sybase). You can learn more about integration and the Connection Agent in the Help Guide.
