There is no visual marker by default. If you want to present something like this then you would have to do it manually. In terms of managing this for different users and stages though you can also control whether that 'red star' is visible in the same way that you are defining that the field is mandatory or not for that stage and role.
check it out here:

I've set some fields as mandatory within my form. Can PerfectFroms automatically indicate to the user that the field is mandatory. The convention might be to add a red-star.

I guess I could do this manually for all mandatory fields, but what is mandatory may change depending upon the users and stage. It could be very tricky to manage.

Did I miss something? Many thanks.

Create a new version of this form where you can then set the form instance, add in some method to allow you to then run the form and submit it again without it changing stage (if your form could progress in the future to different stages), publish the form, 'map' all the form instances to this new version and then run the form and submit and the instance name will then be set

On one of my earlier applications I omitted to fill in data for the form instance name. Consequently this shows up as "unamed" in the edit forms panel on the dashboard. Is there anyway of rectifying this for existing form instances, all of which are permanently "open".
Regards.

Sorry, but the form is not available to download at the current time.
what is it though that you are struggling with? based on your initial 'how to return IP address, look at the second 'example' where the javascript function is:
function myFunction()
//This function will return the string "Hello World!" back to the form
{
return ("Hello world!");

and then in your CallJavascript you enter in the name of the function (myFunction) and set the return target to the field you want "Hello world!" returned to

you can't 'html format' in the multiline text input or set a text label to scroll

One way though that may do what you need is to use multiple text label fields that are overlaid, so with a 'click to proceed' comment (and maybe a 'click to go back') at the bottom of your text you can then use behaviours to 'show and hide' (using the SetState script action) the appropriate text label

I'm trying to figure out the best way to do this and am wondering if there is another option or feature I missed.

I need to display a set of (preferably formatted) directions on a form. Here are the options it has boiled down to:

•Use a text label that has html formatting capability, but no ability to scroll through text
•Use a Multiline Text Input marked read-only that has scrolling, but no formatting

Is there a way to customize a control to add capability that is needed? Is there a way to do html formatting on the multiline text input? Is there a way to make the text label scroll? (I tried putting it inside of a group... is there something else that would force the flex framework to generate the scroll bar?) Is there a way to use vertical slider to force a position inside of the text label?

Any other way to accomplish the entire set of features? (Scrolling AND Formatting)

Doesn't matter if it is 'hosted' as long as you have access to your own webserver. You do NOT use the util.js. You embed your form to your own website page and on that page add in your java script
