I have a Mask Text Input field (SSN/TIN) that gets populated by a connect command. This Mask Text Input field is set to "Read Only" for all stages & roles. When I preview the form and run the connect command, I can still edit the Mask Text field even though it has a "Read Only" state.

I also have a CheckBox Group with 2 checkboxes (Yes & No) that get "checked/unchecked" by a behavior from a Text Input field on the same form. The CheckBox group is set to "Read Only" as well, but I can still check & uncheck them during testing. I did notice that "Read Only" was not an option on the individual Checkboxes, just on the group.

Is there anyway to correct this so that the user/submitter cannot edit the Mask Text Input field or the CheckBox fields? I appreciate any feed back on this!

Is there a way to display the form version number on the form itself? I have a form in testing and it would be convenient to be able to show the form version number right on it, to avoid confusion over which form instance is which version.
Alternately the version number could be added to the instance name, if it could be gotten via formula.

Dear, I'm currently evaluating perfectforms and am facing several issues regarding the generated PDF-document:

1. I use a high-quality logo on my form (.PNG file). This looks ok on the design- and formscreens, but the same logo in the generated PDF is of significant reduced quality.

2. I have a textfield and next to it an inputfield on the same line. They share the same font, same fontsize, same top-coordinates, same height-coordinates. Everything looks ok on the design- and form-screen. But, the generated PDF shows the inputfield 10 pixels lower then the textfield.

3. I have a textfield that contains a text with spaces into HTML-code to underline it. This is corretly shown on the screen, but the generated PDF does not underline the spaces in my textfield. I replaced this line with a horizontal separator as work-around.

4. This is a more pragmatical question. Is it possible to zoom in (and out) on a page when designing a form?

Just to be clear, the form pages and generated PDF have exactly the same configuration ("Print - DIN 14", DPI: 72, same dimensions)

Thanks in advance.

I have a form with two Text objects. The first one is empty and the other one contains text. When a button is pressed, I want the first text box to be loaded with content from the second text box.

Set Field can not be used on Text objects, so I'm trying to use Set Property "Text" to the value of the second Text object. It won't show up in the list and I can't think of another way to do it.

I can't just type the text in the first field because my situation is actually more complex than above - I'm populating the first Text field dynamically (from 25 possible Text fields). I have to use Text objects because I need to use html to insert links in the fields. I'm sure there is an easy way to do this, but I can't figure it out!

So overall my question is "How can I set the text of one Text object to that of another Text object?"

I've set some fields as mandatory within my form. Can PerfectFroms automatically indicate to the user that the field is mandatory. The convention might be to add a red-star.

I guess I could do this manually for all mandatory fields, but what is mandatory may change depending upon the users and stage. It could be very tricky to manage.

Did I miss something? Many thanks.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to do this and am wondering if there is another option or feature I missed.

I need to display a set of (preferably formatted) directions on a form. Here are the options it has boiled down to:

•Use a text label that has html formatting capability, but no ability to scroll through text
•Use a Multiline Text Input marked read-only that has scrolling, but no formatting

Is there a way to customize a control to add capability that is needed? Is there a way to do html formatting on the multiline text input? Is there a way to make the text label scroll? (I tried putting it inside of a group... is there something else that would force the flex framework to generate the scroll bar?) Is there a way to use vertical slider to force a position inside of the text label?

Any other way to accomplish the entire set of features? (Scrolling AND Formatting)

We have a bunch of text fields formatted for numeric input. These are text fields - not numeric. We format them as numeric in order to validate input ranges.
We need to concatenate the fields into a string.

There is no & function or ConvertToString function in the formula editor.

We have tried the square bracket approach shown in the Formula and Condition Editor documentation

Example:
Area Code [545] Exchange [218] Root [1234] needs to be converted to 55452181234
Comes back as [545][218][1234]

Shouldn't that work?

Hi
I have a problem to delete a page within a form. Each time when I try, than nothing happens and the system is not working propperly anymore and I have to login again because I can't "save" anymore.
I removed all items of that page (page looks white) but there are still objects in the object list of the concerned page listed. I tried to delete each of the objects: not possible. I tried to rename the objects befor trying to delete them, but without success. When I change the name of one object, than a second item more down in the list gets renamed too. spooky

Set the mask to be (###)-###-####

(# being what you enter to enforce numerical input)

I have a form which up to four people interact with, so each has their own section of the form. Right now all 4 sections are in one large page which leads to a large amount of whitespace when I hide sections of the form not in use at a particular stage. Earlier I had tried to separate them into separate pages and use the showpage behavior in the workflow panel to control which one was visible, but it did not appear to work as it always was set to page 1 when I loaded the form. I'm obviously missing something, is there any way I can show and hide different sections without creating said white space?

As of version 1.09, the maximum height is 2000 pixels. However, this is an arbitrary maximum and is being changed to 10,000 from version 1.10. It is not really a great idea to have forms this high (better to split content over multiple pages within the same form) but there may well be genuine applications for this

Yes. To do this you change the Instance Name property in the Main section of the property bar.
