   Hi

   What behaviours do I need to put on a button to open a local file?

   For example if I had a spreadsheet saved on my PF server in c:\downloads\file.xls and wanted to open this file from a button - what needs to be done

   The local file will not be open with PerfectForms. In this case it would be opened with Excel. What is the scenario you are trying to manage?

   Yes to open the file in Excel is what I require - but I need to do this from a button within PerfectForms. I'm just not sure of the what action to use on the button - thanks

   You would have to write a script in the page where the form is embedded. Then you can use a Call JavaScript behavior object to run it. I do not know how to write a script that would take a downloaded file and open it with a specific application on the local system.
