Im full user of PF.I have a form which is in its closed state.On form there is a field of Date Input.Now i want to get the month of the date selected by using 'Month Name' function in a Text Input Field.I can easily do if i start a new form instance but i want to know if i can do the same on a closed form instance.

Use a 'new version', then 'map' old versions to the new version where you can then run the closed form instances to call a script that would do what you need and submit the form again
Do i need to publish my form before mapping.
create your new version , save it and then try to map it before publishing and you will see that the new version is not available to map, so yes you need to publish it
