I have a Table that has a drop-down menu 'A' containing an 'Other' option. i would like the next column 'B' to become mandatory if the 'other' option is selceted.

is this possible, as the check mandatory behaviour based on a condition, ie box 'A' is equal to 'other' doesnt seem to be working

alternatively is it possible to hide column 'B' Unless colum 'A' has 'Other' selected

in general terms 'is equal' is basically a numerical statement so rather than handle your script on the is equal to the TEXT caption, set that instead to the VALUE you have set for the selection item of 'other'

although in most places you could handle this on the text caption, it can be better (certainly when working with tables) to use the value instead
