   Why is it that when I submit an instance & reopen the same instance, it moves to the next stage?

   Hi Christine, are you accessing the form from a notification email, or are you accessing the form from the notification view of the Perfectforms Dashboard?

   In your workflow diagram, as you transition from one stage to another, are you sending notifications to yourself? If so, by default, as you access the form from those notifications, the form will move to the next stage.
