Web applications made easy with PerfectForms
If you've already designed your application and are now looking to run it, this is really easy. You can choose to run your application in a number of different ways with PerfectForms. If it will be facing the public, you could embed it in a Web page as shown in the sales inquiry image shown here. This application is used on our Web site to collect sales-related information and pass it to our customer relationship manager application. Yes, we've built a complete CRM system with PerfectForms that starts with the information provided on this inquiry. If you built a form to collect customer information after a customer service experience then you could provide a link in an e-mail or on a Web site like this. There are several other ways to deploy and run applications built with PerfectForms. If you don't have an account with us you can sign-up for a free 30-day trial now and get started. Either way, you can still check out how easy it is to deploy and run applications designed with PerfectForms. |

Test It - Test the application before putting it into production. It's always good practice to thoroughly check your work before putting a new or modified application into production. PerfectForms has a draft mode specifically for the purpose of testing your application prior to publication. You can test one version while another is in production without affecting any of your production data. You can find out more about testing and draft mode here.
Publish It - Publish the application to put it into production. After you have finished designing, connecting and testing an application, you must publish it before deploying or putting it into production. The Publish button can be found on the details area of the Edit Forms screen on the dashboard. You can read more about publishing your applications here.
Dashboard Access - Share access to your application design with other licensed users through the dashboard. As designer of an application, only you can assign permissions to others. That means unless you give rights to others no one can view, edit or will have any other administrative rights. If you want other licensed users of PerfectForms to able to create new instances of the application from the dashboard you can give them access by adding them in the Permissions area of the details area of the Edit Forms screen on the dashboard. Select the Add button and select their username. You can read more about this capability here.
Embed It - Embed the application on a Web page or in an email message. Once an application has been published, you will have access to specific information from the Link button located on the details area of the Edit Forms screen on the dashboard. These are the deployment options available after an application has been published.
The specific choices are Link, HTML link, Embed, Pre-load, External Call and API Reference. The Link text should be used for sending an e-mail with a link to the application. A common use of this feature is sending an e-mail survey. The HTML Link text is similar to Link text except it is used to provide a link to an instance of the application on a Web page. The Embed code allows a new instance of the application to be displayed within a Web page. It is similar to the image at the top left of this page. The Pre-load feature allows the PerfectForms player to load when a user lands on your Web site. This allows the PerfectForms application to load faster when a form user navigates to a PerfectForms application or lands on a page with a PerfectForms application embedded in it. The External Call and API Reference both allow the PerfectForms application to be opened by a remote call. You can read more about all these features here.
Connect It - Connect to the application through the API, with a connection or through a parent child relationship. PerfectForms connections are what really differentiate an application from a form. There is a full API available for any application you build through the API Reference shown above. You can read more about the API Reference and PerfectForms API here. There are a multitude of options available with the Show Form behavior , you can read, insert and update forms using this command. There are also multiple ways to create parent-child relationships between two or more forms. Parent-Child relationships are explained in more detail here.
