i have 2 tables each containing a column called “System name” the 2nd table takes the information enetered from the 1st Table. this works fine, however i would like to know if it is possible that when a row is deleted from either table, that the corresponding row can also be deleted? at present when a row is deleted from the 1st Table, the last row from the 2nd table is deleted & this makes all of the data entered out of synch!October 10, 2011 at 5:46 pm #5883

Drag on a hidden helper field. Create a behavior behind when a button is pressed. Place the value of Table 1 System Name – current row in the hidden helper using a set field. Then create a behavior to loop through Table 2 and look for that value in the System name row and delete the row when found.
Here is how: Set Table Rows behavior object – Move to first row. Then use a Simple Branch (does value Table 2 System Name – current row = Hidden Helper?) If true, use a Set Table Row object – Delete current row. If false use a Set Table Rows object Table 2 move to next row. Then Simple Branch object (was last command successful?) If true, loop back to first Simple Branch. If false go to Exit behavior because you have reached the bottom of Table 2.
