I have an e-form that’s set up to send three e-mail notifications upon submission. But that’s assuming that the three recipients are different individuals. Is it possible for the e-form to recognize if a recipient is the same person and only send an e-mail once?
For example, if I’m the person submitting the e-form and I’m also the approver, is it possible for the e-form to recognize that I’m the same person and only send me one e-mail instead of two? If it’s possible, how would I go about setting that up?
It is possible, and there are several different ways to accomplish it. It depends on how you are defining the recipients of the notifications. I will assume that you are taking emails from various fields to define Roles (or not using Roles and simply sending directly to those emails). In the behavior that sends the notification use a Simple Branch behavior object. Use a formula: Does submitter email = approver email? If True use a Notify object with 2 notifications. If False use a Notify object with 3 notifications.
