I have 2 fields; one is a multi-line field and the other is a text field. I need to be able to copy the data from the multi-line field to the text field and remove any newlines or carriage returns.
The multi-line field will typically contain an address; such as:
ABC Company P/L
Lvl 12, 100 City Road
Sydney NSW 2000
And I need this to copy to the text field as:
ABC Company P/L Lvl 12, 100 City Road Sydney NSW 2000
I have tried using replace but it doesn’t recognise regexp “n”.
Do you have any suggestions?
If you need all of it in one text input field, I would create individual text inputs for Street, City, State/territory, and zip. Then Use a formula in a Set Field to concatenate them all into one field.
Workflow software, Process software, Procedure software
Try using [rn] (including the brackets) in the Pattern parameter of the Replace function to match the newline.
Hi pmeidinger, Thank you so much for this, it worked! You’re a champ!
