We need to add 300 users with basic licenses to our PerfectForms system. The users exist in Active Directory, but from what I can tell, it does not seem to be possible to control the user role using AD Group memberships.
I was wondering, would it be possible to use the AD Synchronization to add a limited number of users with Basic licenses by using a filter to limit the results to only those users who need to have the basic license, along with changing the default role to Basic?
One of the options in the Synchronize screen is “Default User Role”. It can be Limited, Basic, or Full user license. There is a great video tutorial embedded in the help guide page about the topic. It walks you through the process: /Documentation/manual/html/?fg_synchronizing_users__user_grou.htm
