is this still the case? it is quiet a messy solution to use seperate text as headers, as when multiple rows are created in a table to the point a scroll bar is needed, the columns resize and are no longer in line with the text used as headers!
There is missing data. what i see on screen, is text that has been entered into a text field. but when exported this text isnt present in the expected column or anywhere in the export!
There are no hidden columns. i have a filter option, but even if dont use the filter the export still doesnt match the data on screen
Its the same result using either List or Grid!?March 30, 2012 at 2:52 pm in reply to: Data validation in a table based on column and row data input #6048
This worked perfectly. Thanks for your helpMarch 29, 2012 at 1:45 pm in reply to: Data validation in a table based on column and row data input #6045
i wouldnt mind an answer to this myself. i am trying to do the same thing, but when a row meets the criteria for makin a colum mandatory, all of the colums become mandatory in the table regardless if the row meets the criteria for this or not.. is there a way around this?
Ahh thats done the job. Thanks alot for your help. was very tedious but got there in the end
Thanks for the above, i have just created this but using only the 1st 2 questions as a test. everything works well with an exception of it is not counting all instances, rather it is only counting the value of the 1st row. we have 117 form instances so i was expecting the Yes & no columns for each question to total up to 117, with this solution i am only seeing 1 in either the yes or no column. do you think i may have missed something here?
Thankx Dennis, this was the problem!
Hmm ok i have just read another users post with regards to the page effect (Book). tested this on my form and turning this effect off has resolved this issue. very strange!
Thanks Dennis, I hope it does make it for then as all my hard work on this form will be for nothing
would be awesome if i could get an update on this situation? as it seems im being ignored??
Just wondering if this has been raised with your developers? or if there is anything i can do to raise this (i.e support ticket) we realy need the ability to be able to enter more than just 9 characters in a numeric field which displays the commas also. we have a form that is reliant on large figures & we are waiting for this update.
this does indeed work. thanx for your help.
